A collection of photographs, official documents, paper ephemera and text featuring my maternal grandfather Clarence Henry Moulton. C. H. Moulton was born in Minnesota and, although he moved around a great deal during his early adulthood, he ultimately settled in Iowa, where he raised his family. He was a man I have very few memories of, but I grew up hearing stories about him from my mother. By examining the photographs and documents included in this work, I've had opportunity to learn more about his life. This book, part of an ongoing series of works created from an inherited archive, honors both his life and my memories of him. Journeying to Joy was created in response to call for books with content relating to midwestern states.
